I've been involved with the club for the past 3 years, both as an athlete and a coach. In 2004 I was forced to take some time off training due to a serious back injury, and it was through this time that I really became involved in the coaching side. I helped Tyler in the 9 months I had off setting up drills, and really learning coaching styles and technique tips from him. When I returned to training I started to volunteer teaching with the learn to skate program, this is where I got the inspiration to start the Learn to Speed Skate section of the speed team. My passion in life is Inline Speed Skating, I am always trying to improve myself and the team. I am a strong advocate to proper nutrition and have presented several seminars to the club to ensure they eat and train smart. I have graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in Pedagogy. I have NCCP Theory levels one and two certification, including education from Can Fit Pro in Personal Training and Nutrition and Wellness counseling.
